TERMS AND CONDITIONS

What type of license is required to rent a car?

The renter and the other drivers must have an original and valid drive's license.

All drivers with a non-US driver's license must present a valid passport or a valid government-issued ID card as a secondary form of identification at the time of vehicle pick-up.

* We accept digital driver's license.

What is the minimum age for car rental?

Some rules regarding minimum age to rent a car (or a certain group of car) and minimum driving time may apply during the booking process.

In general, the minimum age to rent a car is 21 and the driver must have a valid driver's license for at least one year. For some car categories and models (larger size and/or power cars) a minimum age of 25 years may be required for rental.

Can I rent a car without a credit card?

Yes. We do not require a deposit on the credit card, just a card to register in our system for traffic fines, if any.

Can I rent a car without insurance, as my credit card already offers this coverage?

Yes, for a valid US insurance. All plans offered by Real Family already include CDW/LDW and LIS/ALI/EP coverage.

How do I pay a traffic fine?

In the United States, traffic tickets are issued on the driver's license and not on the vehicle's license plate. Fines, both for traffic and parking, are customer responsibility.

How much fuel will I get the car with?

The common practice of rental companies in the United States is to deliver vehicles to the lessee with a full tank of fuel, and options are offered to prepay for the first tank of fuel, or to return the vehicle with a full tank.

If the tank is not full when the vehicle is returned, the consumed fuel will be charged by the rental company with an additional service fee.

Will I have the rental car documentation?

In the United States, the rental agreement is the only document required to travel with the car, and it contains all the information required to present to local authorities, if requested.

Inside the vehicle will be its registration and its insurance.

How can I pay for car rental?

Real Family has the following options for payment of vehicle rental:

- ZELLE (transfer between US accounts) ;
- Credit/Debit card;
- Cash (US dollar);

WE DO NOT REQUIRE LOCKING YOUR CREDIT CARD

Payment at the time of booking.
